Hi everyone, I’m Kent — a boy who grew up in Kuala Lumpur with big dreams and not much else.
I wasn’t born into wealth. As a kid, I loved reading manga and novels, but I could only borrow them or buy secondhand copies. Later, when I studied in Taiwan, I discovered something even more shocking: textbooks were insanely expensive. Even the used ones.
Thankfully, online secondhand marketplaces were just starting to rise. By buying and reselling my books, I managed to study without spending a fortune — and because of that, I made it through university. That experience left a mark on me. I benefited so much from a good secondhand ecosystem, and I’ve always hoped Malaysians could enjoy the same.
What if we can have a secondhand platform —
one where you can easily discover books you love,
and effortlessly resell the ones you no longer read —
it would unlock so much value for all of us!
Just like the system that once helped me abroad, I believe Malaysia — and Southeast Asia — deserves a platform that empowers people, reduces waste, and makes knowledge accessible for all.
