4…5…6 tells the story of Li Lian, a girl of Chinese descent who was brought to safety by her father’s Malay friend. Her entire family had been massacred during the Second World War and she too would be hunted. Having witnessed the atrocities surrounding her family’s demise, her mind blocks out the horrors allowing her to grow up normally in a small fishing village. Her journey through Life inadvertently brings her back to face her nightmares and she is now faced with a choice between honour and forgiveness, though choosing either would go against the very fabric of her soul.
